How can I access the Refoodlution platform?

You only need to know the allergens in your dishes. The platform is very easy, fast and intuitive. It is designed for restaurants and designed so that you have to spend as little time as possible. The time used to enter 20 dishes is an average of 10-15 minutes.

No, the QR identifies you as a restaurant. One of the advantages of our technology is that the QR is automatically updated every time you make a change in the menu or in any dish. Once you have the QR on your chart, it will always be the same.

The establishment is responsible for complying with the regulations on food information. This regulation regulates the obligation to inform restaurant customers about allergens.

From the entry into force of this regulation, it is mandatory to provide information on any of the 14 ingredients listed in Regulation 1169 that may cause food allergy or intolerance.

Yes, non-compliance with these regulations will result in a fine of between €5,000 and €600,000 depending on the seriousness of the infraction, with the restaurant always being responsible for the food information given.

The legislation does not specify the way in which we must inform the consumer. However, AECOSAN published as a result of Royal Decree 125/2015 a guide where recommendations are given on how to inform. This guide “has no legal value and, in case of conflict, the interpretation of the legislation is ultimately the responsibility of the Courts of Justice”.

To date, in compliance with current legislation and using the information provided in the AECSOAN guide, there are two methods for informing our customers:

A. The menu or menu shall show these substances (Regulation 1169 Annex II).

B. If the food establishment does not have a menu or menu or does not want to change it; leave visible an information sign stating that the establishment complies with Regulation 1169 and inform them that they can have in writing the information regarding these substances (allergens or substances that cause intolerance of Regulation 1169 Annex II).

In the latter case, in addition to the informative poster, it is essential to have the allergen evaluation of each of the prepared dishes in writing and available at all times.

You can start a new experience by scanning a QR code on the menu of the restaurant where our technology is installed. Our system will always show you the 100% updated information from the establishment. By scanning the QR code it will redirect you to a portal where selecting your food preferences, you will be able to see the menu adapted to your needs.

If you have an iPhone, use the application of your camera, as if you wanted to take a photo. On Android, use Google Lens or one of the QR scanner applications.

Yes, Refoodlution is a customizable digital cloud-based menu. If you have internet connection problems you can ask for the Wifi password of the establishment where you are.

Refoodlution is completely free for restaurant diners.
